November 2006 Seattle weather brought record rainfall, floods, strong winds, and snow after a mostly dry October.   But it was beautiful and temperate during our wedding ceremony outdoors at the Washington Park Arboretum!

Get this:

Precipitation for the month of November 2006 was almost ten inches above normal at 15.63 inches compared to the normal 5.90 inches making it the wettest November on record!!  In addition to being the wettest November, it was also the wettest month in history for Seattle.  The previous wettest month was January 1953 when 12.92 inches of precipitation fell.  Out of the thirty days in November it rained twenty-nine.

November 4 set a twenty-four hour precipitation total when 1.91 inches of precipitation fell breaking the previous record of 1.54 inches set in 1969.  November 6 also set a twenty-four hour precipitation total when 3.29 inches of precipitation fell breaking the previous record of 0.99 inches set in 1980.

But on November 5th, our wedding day, the sky cleared and the sun came out for us.
